Preservice teachers’ perceptions of an ICT-rich learning environment: Development of an instrument

This article reports the development of an instrument to measure preservice teachers’ perceptions of the Study Landscape (SLS), which is an ICT-infused learning environment that encourages preservice teachers to direct their own learning to build a two-way relationship between theory and teaching practice. This study comprised a qualitative and quantitative part. Six factors derived from interviews with users formed the basis of the instrument: (1) Support of Learners’ Initiatives; (2) Support of Information Searches; (3) Support of Interaction; (4) Relationship with Fellow Students; (5) Relationship with Teacher Educators; and (6) Relationship with SLS Staff. Once developed, the questionnaire was responded to by 186 students. Analysis of the data supported five out of six factors.  相似文献   

Teachers’ Perceptions of Professional Incompetence and Barriers to the Dismissal Process

The problem of teacher incompetence is a serious one, affecting large numbers of American public school students. There is a significant discrepancy between estimated rates of incompetent teachers and the number of teachers actually dismissed on grounds of incompetence. This study sought to uncover the perceptions of teachers regarding a definition of professional incompetence, strategies used with incompetent teachers, and barriers to the dismissal process, through the use of a survey with more than 200 elementary school teachers in Virginia and follow-up interviews with seven of these participants. The researcher found that teachers rated classroom behaviors to be the most important factors towards a definition of professional incompetence. The teachers involved also rated the commonness of strategies used with incompetent teachers, placing dismissal among the least common actions taken by administrators, and revealed that they believed union protection, legal and other expenses, and difficulty providing documentation prevented administrators from dismissing incompetent teachers.  相似文献

采用身体自我描述问卷（PSDQ）对284名体育专业和241名非体育专业大学生进行调查,对两者身体自我进行比较。结果表明：体育专业学生身体自我明显优于非体育专业学生;体育专业男女生身体自我分别明显优于非体育专业男女生,体育专业与非体育专业男生身体自我分别优于女生;体育专业城镇和乡村生源学生身体自我分别明显优于非体育专业城镇和乡村学生,体育专业与非体育专业乡村学生身体自我分别优于城镇学生。专业和性别的交互作用对身体自我的身体协调和身体活动指标具有显著影响,专业和城乡的交互作用则对身体自我各指标均无显著影响。  相似文献

In the UK, the attainment of White graduates (as measured by the class of honours that they have been awarded) tends to be higher than that of graduates from other ethnic groups. This is apparent, in particular, in graduates who have taken courses by distance learning with the Open University. Analysis of data from Open University graduates over three successive years yielded no evidence that the latter trend could be attributed to confounded demographic variables. A postal survey found little variation in perceptions of academic quality or reports of personal development among Open University graduates from different ethnic groups. Quantitative variations in the attainment of graduates from different ethnic groups are not necessarily reflected in qualitative variations in their experience of distance education.  相似文献

为了解天津市"空中课堂"项目试运行阶段项目应用情况,该研究采用问卷调查的方法,调查了184名不同学校的网上学习者。文章得出7个方面的研究结果:登录平台学习情况,喜欢的教学方式,网上学习参与情况,对选修课程的评价,网上学习中遇到的困难,对学习支持服务的评价以及希望增加的功能。根据调查的结果和数据分析,从课程、主讲教师、学习支持服务、面授辅导和平台支持等方面,对发展和改善网上教学提出了策略性建议。  相似文献   

我国普通高中教师专业生活状态调查

本文基于全国11个省（直辖市、自治区）的高中教师调查,分别从教师的工作时间、成就感和工作满意度三个方面,对我国高中教师的专业生活状态进行了分析。在教师工作时间方面,我国高中教师平均周授课时相对其他国家而言并不长,但教师备课、批改作业时间较长;中、西部地区教师的工作时间长于东部地区的教师。在教师成就感方面,我国东部地区高中教师的成就感明显低于中、西部地区的教师,女教师的成就感普遍低于男教师;随着教龄的增加,教师成就感总的趋势是先上升后下降,但更详细的分析发现成就感随教龄的变化较为复杂。在教师工作满意度方面,中部地区的教师工作满意度显著高于西部和东部地区的教师;工作满意度随教龄和职称的变化大致呈V型分布。  相似文献
